PACE responded and basically said to visit their website and follow the directions for the error code I'm getting. I can't even imagine how I'd feel right now if I had paid $700 for an unusable Pro Tools license. I understand the necessity and even convenience of the iLok dongle, but right now this is making me question whether I even want to deal with any software that uses it. I have a ticket open with PACE but I'm not expecting much as everything I've read has shown them to be a less than reputable company with faulty software that has gone as far as deleting the very licenses it's supposed to protect. This is a new PC with a clean OS and I cannot even install the drivers for the iLok. I ran the cleaner again and tried just installing the drivers. I ran the install cleaner then the installer. I deleted them again, took the iLok dongle out and tried installing. I deleted all PACE files from my computer and tried installing it. I downloaded the iLok manager and tried installing it. Today I went and bought an iLok and plugged it in thinking this would solve the issue. After attempting to reinstall a few times I realized I need to physically own an iLok 2 in order to use the trial. Upon attempting to install the trial it froze during the PACE manager installation. I was prompted to sign up for an iLok account, which I did and then downloaded the Pro Tools installer. I decided to download the Pro Tools 11 30 day trial until I get a license from a friend who is not using it. I tried searching for a solution but all I could find was old threads involving windows 7 or earlier versions of Pro Tools, or people who received error messages while installing, or installed the manager but were having issues with the manager itself. I cannot even install the iLok manager or drivers without my computer freezing and being forced to reboot. I can list the specs but that is irrelevant to the issue at hand which is. I built it last week and everything runs smooth as butter.
